Leland Rice has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and leadership roles. Leland currently serves as the Chief Growth Officer at The Blake by QSL Management since March 2023. Prior to this, they were the VP of Development at the same company from January 2020 to April 2023. In 2018, Leland co-founded and served as the CEO of Dedalus Global. Leland also holds the position of Co-Investor at Future Africa since November 2021. Leland is the Founder & Chairman of The Africa Fintech Summit since October 2017. Leland has a strong background in journalism and publishing, having held various positions at The Business Year, including Partner & Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, Regional Director, and Regional Editor. Leland also worked as a Project Director at The Worldfolio and as the Country Manager at Language Services Direct. Leland co-founded KrakOut Magazine in Poland and was the College Editor at Hampden-Sydney College.

Leland Rice completed their education at several prestigious institutions. In 1997, they received a BA (Hons) in English from Hampden-Sydney College. In 1999, they attended the Universidad de Granada, where they obtained a certificate in Intermediate Spanish from the Center for Modern Languages. In 2000, Leland Rice studied Tudor-Stuart Literature & History at St. Anne's College at the University of Oxford. In 2017, they pursued executive education in Fixed Income: markets, securities, and institutions at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
