William Kirby is currently serving as the Resident Creative and Technical Director at The BLUEBARN Theatre. With experience as the Director of Technical Arts at Midland University and Adjunct Faculty at both Midland University and the University of Nebraska at Omaha, William has a strong background in technical arts and theater studies. Previously, William worked as the Head Sound Engineer at McCarter Theatre. William holds a BA(Hons) in Theatre Studies from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and completed the International Baccalaureate program at George School.

The BLUEBARN Theatre

The BLUEBARN Theatre was founded in 1989 in Omaha, Nebraska by graduates of the Conservatory at State University of New York at Purchase. Since then, it has become renown for producing professional contemporary theatre. The BLUEBARN is a 501c3 non-profit organization and relies on charitable donations and ticket sales for revenue stream. The theatre welcomes individual and corporate gifts in support of the daring and innovative theatre it routinely produces. Mission Statement: The Blue Barn Theatre exists to enhance the cultural life of Omaha, Nebraska by producing professionally executed, boundary breaking plays that ignite a passion for the art form. Blue Barn is dedicated to theatre’s most important tradition: to provoke thought, emotion, action, and change.
