Michael Pickett

Michael Pickett is an accomplished roboticist and software engineer with extensive experience in the development of advanced robotics systems. Currently, Michael works at RAI Institute as a Roboticist - Software Engineer since June 2023. Previously, Michael held the position of Senior Robotics Software Engineer at Vicarious Surgical Inc., contributing to the ASDAI Team focused on AI technologies for surgical platforms. Michael's experience also includes working as a Robotics Engineer at Owl Labs, where innovations in computer vision algorithms and AI systems were achieved, and a Senior Software Engineer role at Activ Surgical, responsible for developing software for an autonomous surgical robot platform and securing FDA clearance for a product. Earlier work as a Software Automation Engineer at HighRes Biosolutions further honed Michael’s skills. Michael's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Robotics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
