Monica Roberts

Board Member at Boston Education Fund

Monica Roberts is Board Member at the Boston Education Fund. Monica has extensive experience in community and partner engagement, having served as the Executive Director of Family and Community Relations, and Communications for Randolph Public Schools from March 2011 to October 2013. In this role, they were responsible for creating and implementing systemic community and partner engagement initiatives that supported academic achievement.

Roberts was also responsible for negotiating and leading the integration of the Family and Community Engagement Standard into the Randolph Educator Supervision and Evaluation Rubric. This work resulted in increased positive media coverage and community confidence in Randolph Public Schools, culminating in enrollment growth for two consecutive years.

Prior to their work in public education, Roberts served as a Program Officer for the Boston Foundation, where they managed a portfolio of education grants totaling $3 million annually. Monica has also held positions at the National Center for Families Learning and the National PTA. Roberts holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Simmons College and a master’s degree in Education from Harvard University.

Monica Roberts has a MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Boston College - Wallace E. Carroll Graduate School of Management, a Master of Arts - MA in Political Science and Government from Boston College, and a Bachelor's degree in Dual Degrees: Sociology and African & African-American Studies from Brandeis University.
