Jo Porter

Jo Porter is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in public relations, journalism, and training. As the PR Manager at The Brain Tumour Charity since April 2023, Jo previously held leadership roles in communications at National Numeracy and Make-A-Wish® UK, where significant contributions included managing media relations and storytelling initiatives. Jo has also worked as a freelance journalist and storytelling consultant, as well as in production roles at Sky and the BBC, where impactful stories for major campaigns were developed. Jo's background also encompasses fitness training, with qualifications as a Level 3 personal trainer, and a notable history of working with individuals in rehabilitation settings. Educational credentials include a BA in Economics and Politics from The University of Manchester and a postgraduate diploma in journalism.
