We established The Brexton Foundation to honor the legacy of our son, Brexton, who bravely battled complex left-sided heart valve Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) for 17 months. 

Early intervention is crucial. At present, there is a scarcity, if any, of research focused on the left side of tiny babies' hearts. As a result, there are no available mechanical resources to offer to babies with AV valves smaller than 15mm, such as Brexton's and many other CHD babies.

Our hope is to one day make the groundbreaking research possible for all babies who suffer from left-sided heart conditions so they are able to reach childhood and beyond. 

While we wait for funds to partner with a cardiothoracic research institution to bring upon groundbreaking research for left-sided heart issues, The Brexton Foundation’s mission is to serve and support individuals with complex congenital heart disease and defects, provide early intervention strategies, resources, and direct support to their families.
