The Briar Club is a family Club with an array of impressive amenities on a distinctly beautiful five-acre site. Its convenient location, nestled in the heart of Houston, caters to a private membership of all ages looking for relaxation, social activities, fitness and fun. The social hub reaches out to the surrounding neighborhoods including River Oaks, West University Place, the Museum District and the Galleria area. Chartered in 1949, The Briar Club remains a prominent city club for many reasons. Year-round events, a fully equipped fitness center, heated swimming pools, tennis courts, youth and senior programs and a variety of dining and banquet options are just a few features that make this Club shine among the best. The Briar Club is a private membership club and is owned by its Equity members. As with other clubs, our Members join the Club and continue their memberships because of the benefits, privileges and services they receive. Our staff values our members, and we take pride in offering excellent service and a family-friendly atmosphere.
