The Briar Club
Sam Medlin is a current Doctor of Law candidate at the University of Houston Law Center, expected to graduate in 2024, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Houston, completed in 2021. Sam has served as a Swim Instructor at The Briar Club since April 2021 and gained valuable experience as an Intern in the Post-Convictions Department at the Harris County Public Defenders Office from June 2022 to November 2023.

The Briar Club is a family Club with an array of impressive amenities on a distinctly beautiful five-acre site. Its convenient location, nestled in the heart of Houston, caters to a private membership of all ages looking for relaxation, social activities, fitness and fun. Chartered in 1949, The Briar Club remains a prominent city club for many reasons. Year-round events, a fully equipped fitness center, heated swimming pools, tennis courts, youth and senior programs and a variety of dining and banquet options are just a few features that make this Club shine among the best. The Briar Club is a private membership club and is owned by its Equity members. As with other clubs, our Members join the Club and continue their memberships because of the benefits, privileges and services they receive.
