Butch Trusty

Butch Trusty serves as a Partner at The Bridgespan Group since July 2018, focusing on client engagements with nonprofits and donors in education and economic mobility, and coaching nonprofit executive teams through Leading for Impact. Previously, Butch Trusty held the role of Principal at GreyBear Advisors and served as Managing Partner at Education Cities, where responsibilities included overseeing local education reform ventures and developing impact evaluation tools. An experienced Program Director at The Joyce Foundation, Butch Trusty managed a substantial grant-making portfolio aimed at improving educational access and quality. Early career roles at The Bridgespan Group involved advising on significant investments in urban education reform, consulting for civil rights organizations, and leading strategic initiatives for education-focused foundations. Butch Trusty holds an MBA and MPP from Duke University as well as an AB in Public Policy from Brown University.
