Tonyel Edwards

Tonyel Edwards, Ed.D., is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in education, nonprofit management, and professional recruitment. Currently serving as a Partner at The Bridgespan Group since June 2022, Edwards previously held the position of Senior Fellow at the American Leadership Forum - Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter since May 2017 and was the Director of Civic Assets and Impact Opportunities at Houston Endowment from June 2015 to June 2022. In earlier roles, Edwards was the Executive Director at DiscoverU Fantastic Learning Opportunities and served on the national team of Teach For America as the Director of Professional Recruitment. Starting a career in finance as an analyst at Merrill Lynch, Edwards holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Howard University, alongside a Master of Education in Education Administration and a Doctor of Education in Professional Leadership from the University of Houston.
