Henry Richards is a seasoned professional in program management and development with extensive experience in policy and governance. Currently serving as the Senior Futures Lead at The British Academy since January 2018, Henry oversees key initiatives such as the Future of the Corporation and Future of Democracy programmes. Previous roles include Project Manager for the Future of the Corporation at Westminster Foundation for Democracy, where important parliamentary strengthening efforts across the MENA region were led. Henry's background also includes significant contributions as a Programme Officer focusing on multiple Middle Eastern countries, an Independent Development Consultant, and a founder of a green products comparison platform. An early career included roles in leadership and training with AIESEC and HSBC, as well as international volunteer work. Henry holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Nottingham and a pre-degree in French Horn Performance from the Royal College of Music.
