Claire Maxted is an accomplished editor, author, and director with extensive experience in outdoor and running-related media. Currently serving as the Editor of Summit magazine and communications lead for Mend Our Mountains and The Climate Project at The British Mountaineering Council, Claire has been the Director of Wild Ginger Running's YouTube channel since July 2017, focusing on race filming, gear reviews, and content creation in collaboration with prominent outdoor brands. As an author with Bloomsbury Publishing, Claire's first book, "The Ultimate Trail Running Handbook," has been successful, with a second book on ultra running forthcoming. Previously, Claire co-founded and edited Trail Running magazine at Bauer Media Group while also achieving recognition for writing excellence, including Bauer Media’s Writer of the Year award in 2008. Claire holds a first-class BA in Geography from The University of Manchester, where Claire also served as a travel editor.
