Alec Miran

Staff Attorney, Criminal Defense Practice at The Bronx Defenders

Alec Miran (he/him/his) graduated cum laude from New York University School of Law. While in law school, Alec participated in the Federal Defender Clinic and Juvenile Defender Clinic. He was also the Deputy Director of the Suspension Representation Project and a licensed bail bond agent with NYU’s charitable bail fund. During his Summers, Alec interned at the Rhode Island and New Hampshire Public Defense Offices. After graduation, he returned to the New Hampshire Public Defender as a staff attorney representing adults and juveniles charged with misdemeanors and felonies. Before attending law school, Alec served as an education volunteer in Ethiopia with the U.S. Peace Corps. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University.
