Kimberly Mitchell Bsn

Kimberly Mitchell has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Most recently, they held the position of Chief Nursing Officer at The Brook Hospitals, starting in October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Nursing Manager at The Brook Hospitals from April 2022 to October 2022.

Before joining The Brook Hospitals, Kimberly served as the Director of Nursing at UofL Health from September 2019 to April 2022. Kimberly had the responsibility of managing and overseeing nursing operations during their tenure.

From 2008 to 2019, Kimberly worked at KentuckyOne Health, starting as a Registered Nurse before progressing to the role of House Manager and eventually Nurse Manager. In their role as Nurse Manager, they provided leadership and supervision for the Nursing Services/Resource department at Our Lady of Peace Hospital, a mental health facility. Kimberly also managed a team of 100+ direct reports.

Between 2014 and 2015, Kimberly worked as a Psychiatric Home Health Registered Nurse at Caretenders Almost Family. Additionally, they gained experience as a Technical Operations Supervisor at Insight Communications from 2005 to 2007.

Kimberly Mitchell holds a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University, which they obtained in 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Associate of Science in Registered Nursing at Galen College of Nursing in 2011. Kimberly has additional certifications, including being Board Certified in Psychiatric & Mental Health Nursing from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, attained in February 2017. Kimberly is also a Registered Nurse licensed by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
