Gemma Carder is an experienced professional in animal welfare and research, currently serving as the Senior Manager for Global Research and Research Advisor at Brooke, Action For Working Horses and Donkeys since August 2018. Previously, Gemma held the role of Scientific Advisor for Crustacean Compassion from September 2016 to November 2019, where involvement focused on advocating for the welfare of decapod crustaceans. Prior experience includes working as Research Manager and Sentience Manager at World Animal Protection from May 2012 to August 2018, where research supported advocacy efforts based on scientific insights into animal emotions.
