Wilhemina Nyarko

Wilhemina Nyarko, RN, JD, CPHRM, is an experienced healthcare risk management professional currently serving as Senior Director of Risk Management at The Brooklyn Hospital Center since October 2022. Prior to this role, Wilhemina held the position of Director of Risk Management at University Hospital of Brooklyn SUNY from January 2019 to October 2022, and served as Director of Risk Management & Patient Safety at Mount Sinai, Queens from November 2004 to January 2019. Wilhemina began a legal career as an Associate Attorney at Jeffery Samel & Partners from December 2002 to November 2003 and has a solid foundation in nursing, having worked as an RN at Long Island College Hospital between September 1988 and May 2001. Education includes a Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Medgar Evers College, CUNY.
