John McCarthy has extensive experience in engineering, notably serving as Chief Engineer at The Buffalo News from 1986 until retirement. Responsibilities included the operation, repair, installation, and maintenance of critical systems such as power plants, HVAC, compressed air, plumbing, and fire alarm/sprinkler systems, while also leading the Stationary Engineering Department. Prior to this role, John McCarthy held the position of Chief Engineer at Buffalo Airport Center from September 1984 to July 1986.
