Robert Brierley

Robert Brierley has extensive work experience in the real estate industry. Robert most recently worked at Bulfinch as the Senior Vice President of Institutional Operations, a position they started in October 2021. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Property Management at Bulfinch from August 2019 to October 2021.

Before joining Bulfinch, Brierley held various leadership roles at Colliers International. From May 2017 to November 2018, they served as the Managing Director of Real Estate Management Services and Executive Vice President for Colliers Boston. In this role, they were responsible for new business development and strategic leadership for the Colliers Boston portfolio. Robert also worked as a Senior Vice President and Shareholder from April 2013 to April 2017, where they played a key role in growing the Colliers International Real Estate Management Services group.

In addition to their career at Bulfinch and Colliers International, Brierley has held leadership positions in industry organizations. Robert served as the Chairman and Chief Elected Officer of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International from June 2017 to June 2018. Robert also held the position of Chair-Elect at BOMA International from June 2016 to June 2017. Furthermore, Brierley was the Chairman of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board from January 2013 to January 2014.

Before joining Colliers International, Brierley worked at Brookfield Office Properties as the Vice President of Operations from December 2004 to December 2012. Robert was responsible for managing a large commercial real estate portfolio and leading strategic planning and staff development. Prior to that, they were a General Manager at Equity Office Properties and a Property Manager at Beacon Properties.

Brierley began their career in the real estate industry at Meredith & Grew, Incorporated (now known as Colliers International) as an Assistant Vice President. During their time there from 1990 to 1996, they managed a diverse portfolio of commercial properties.

Before joining Meredith & Grew, Incorporated, Brierley worked as a Property Manager at Gilbane Properties from 1988 to 1990.

Robert Brierley pursued their education at two prestigious institutions. In 1982, they enrolled at the University of Rhode Island, where they completed their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1987. Following this, in 2009, Robert attended the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, participating in the Emerging Leaders in Real Estate Certificate Program, which was jointly conducted by BOMA International and Harvard.
