Frederick E. Burks started The Burks Companies in 1991. Under his leadership, the company has consistently increased in profitability while earning a solid reputation for best-in-class customer service. Mr. Burks has a 30-year history of recognized entrepreneurial and corporate leadership success in the services management industry. He has been featured in such notable publications as Fortune Magazine and The Atlanta Tribune and has received multiple service and leadership awards from clients including Turner Broadcasting and Delta Airlines. In addition to fostering his own businesses, Mr. Burks has lent his expertise to many other companies and organizations throughout his career. For example, he has worked with Tulane University by serving as interim Head of Operations for HANO (Housing Authority of New Orleans). He also served as COO of Initial Contract Services USA, President, COO of Corporate Services Management, and as President of D’Wiley’s Services, a commercial food-services management company. Mr. Burks’ business acumen is demonstrated by his ability to adapt to his market by providing the highest-level service, while maintaining the most competitive cost effectiveness. His mastery of this ability, in combination with a consummate commitment to his employees, continues to enable TBC’s success. Mr. Burks holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Tuskegee University (Tuskegee, AL), and he has completed the Executive MBA program in Management from The Kellogg School of Management in Evanston (Chicago), IL.
