Laura García is a highly skilled consultant in the Brain Health Unit at the World Health Organization, managing the Global Dementia Observatory knowledge exchange platform since October 2021. Currently serving as an independent contractor occupational therapist at the Spine Health Care Clinic and an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University, Laura also collaborates with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists as a consultant. Previous experience includes roles at the Alzheimer Society of Canada, where Laura coordinated knowledge translation and exchange initiatives, organized educational activities, and led public awareness campaigns on dementia. Laura holds a dual degree MSc OT/PhD in Rehabilitation Science from McMaster University and has completed a Master’s Degree in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Psychology from Western University.
