Haroon Rashid, MD, specializes in electrophysiology, including catheter ablations and pacemaker and defibrillator implantation to treat arrhythmias and other conditions. He is a pioneer in using Focal Impulse Rotor Mapping (FIRMap) new technology to help identify mechanisms for fibrillation and offers a novel way to map and then ablate atrial fibrillation.
He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. He currently serves as Director of Atrial Fibrillation Ablation and Research at Inova Heart and Vascular Institute.
