Mickey Rubinson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Currently, they are the Chief Executive Officer at The Carolyn E. Wylie Center since July 2020. Prior to this, they founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer of Heart & Pride Muay Thai from 2012 onwards.
From 2017 to 2020, Mickey worked at Lutheran Social Services of Southern California, first as the Chief Financial Officer and later as the Executive Vice President. In these roles, they managed various departments including Accounting/Finance, Payroll, Human Resources, Information Technology, Housing Counseling, and the Real Estate/Lending company. Mickey also handled grant management, contract negotiations, and developed fee-for-service programs. Additionally, Mickey oversaw an agency budget of over $18,000,000, worked with auditors, and provided financial data to assist in decision-making and organizational strategies.
Before joining Lutheran Social Services, Mickey worked as the Chief Financial Officer/Controller at Inland Fair Housing and Mediation Board from 2011 to 2017. Prior to that, they held roles as a Systems Analyst/Mediator and Fair Housing Investigation Coordinator at the same organization from 1999 to 2007.
Mickey Rubinson holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Project Management, which was obtained from American InterContinental University in 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting and Finance from the same institution in 2007. Mickey also holds an Associate's degree in Micro-Computing Technology from Columbus State Community College. Mickey further completed a Career Passport program in Computer Business from Eastland Career Center.
