Elizabeth Knup is a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in international affairs and China relations. Currently serving as a Senior Fellow and Lecturer at Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs and a Special Advisor with a focus on China at The Carter Center, Elizabeth has previously held significant roles including Advisor and Regional Director at the Ford Foundation, where oversight of programmatic and operational aspects in China was paramount. Elizabeth's academic contributions include guest lectures on contemporary Chinese politics at Middlebury College. A former Chief Representative for Pearson UK in China, Elizabeth managed corporate engagement and directed operations for a substantial educational business. Additional experience includes consultancy roles with The Asia Foundation and the Institute for Sustainable Communities, and a decade-long tenure as Program Director at the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations. Elizabeth holds a BA in Political Science and Chinese from Middlebury College and an MA in Chinese Studies from the University of Michigan.
