Paola Mejía currently serves as a Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Program Assistant for Overseas Operations at The Carter Center. With ongoing experience as a Canvasser at GALEO, Paola promotes civic engagement in the Latinx community through voter registration and bilingual outreach in Atlanta. Past roles include an OPTT Internship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where qualitative demographic data was analyzed, and positions focused on supporting professional development for students at Agnes Scott College. Additional involvement includes a Social Services Intern role at the Tahirih Justice Center and internships centered on civic engagement and policy, gender, youth, and livelihoods, further contributing to expertise in public health and advocacy. Paola holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from Agnes Scott College and has pursued coursework at Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health.
