Clyde F. Payn

Mr. Payn has over 40 years of technical, marketing and managerial experience concerning catalytic technologies and the catalyst industry. He formed Catalyst Consultants, Inc. (CCI) in 1984, the forerunner and largest member of The Catalyst Group, to provide comprehensive business strategy and technology based consulting services to the industry. Prior to forming CCI, Mr. Payn held the position of Business Manager, Catalyst Recovery for Johnson Matthey, Inc., in which he was involved in establishing and developing Johnson Matthey’s commercial position in the catalyst recovery market as well as initiating other new business ventures. Before joining Johnson Matthey, Mr. Payn held the position of Technical Manager for Carborundum’s New Zealand subsidiary as well as technical service, marketing and sales positions in the company’s International and U.S. operations. Mr. Payn received an NZCS in Chemistry from the Auckland Technical Institute, New Zealand, and holds an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University.
