Carolyn Fairbairn currently serves as the Director-General of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) since November 2015 and holds the position of Trustee at Marie Curie UK since January 2012. Fairbairn has held various non-executive director roles across several organizations, including Capita, the Competition and Markets Authority, the UK Statistics Authority, Lloyds Banking Group, The Vitec Group plc, and the Financial Services Authority between 2008 and 2015. Prior to these roles, Fairbairn was the Director of Group Development and Strategy at ITV from 2007 to 2011 and a partner at McKinsey & Company from 2006 to 2007. Educational qualifications include an MBA from INSEAD, a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
