The Center for Arts at the Armory
Stephanie Scherpf is an accomplished arts leader with extensive experience in nonprofit management and cultural programming. Currently serving as Co-Director and CEO of The Center for Arts at the Armory since September 2019, and as Founder and Executive Director of Tertulia since January 2021, Stephanie has demonstrated a commitment to advancing arts initiatives. Previous roles include Managing Director at Urbanity Dance and Executive Director and Co-founder of Jean Appolon Expressions, where Stephanie played a pivotal role in promoting Haitian dance. With further experience as Project Director at Quincy Jones Musiq Consortium and Managing Director for El Sistema USA, Stephanie has a strong background in project development, community engagement, and educational programming. Stephanie holds a Master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Washington and a Bachelor’s degree with Distinction in English Literature from the University of Virginia.

Arts at the Armory seeks to galvanize the creative spirit by providing a space where working artists and the community can come together. Recognizing that art can bridge cultural, class and generational divides, Arts at the Armory showcases a wide range of visual arts, dance, theater and musical performances. It also provides studio spaces for artists, a cafe, galleries, two live/work artists units, two performance spaces, and offices for arts organizations.
