The Centers for Habilitation
Dawn Hocking has extensive experience in leadership and community development, currently serving as the Director of Development at TCH/The Centers for Habilitation since August 1990, where efforts focus on enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities through partnerships and support. Dawn has also contributed to the Tempe Chamber of Commerce, holding the position of Chair of the Board of Directors from July 2017 to June 2018, and previously leading the Women in Business Council in 2013-2014. Furthermore, involvement in Tempe Leadership Class 27 from September 2011 to May 2012 highlights a commitment to community enhancement. Dawn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Northern Arizona University, completed between 1984 and 1988.

TCH began in 1967 by parents of children with disabilities as an alternative to the institutions. The families had the foresight to see the value and possibilities of their loved ones living at home and being part of the community. Since the beginning we have provided services that give individuals with disabilities opportunities to gain skills, participate in the community, and live as independently as possible.
