Anne Peterson, MA, CAPM, has an extensive background in strategy, performance management, continuous quality improvement, government advocacy, community engagement, and program planning. With a Master's degree in Social Sciences from UBC and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Simon Fraser University, Anne has held various leadership roles in organizations such as The Centre for Child Development, The College of Pharmacists of BC, and Compass West. Anne has also made significant contributions to the community through their involvement in heritage planning, arts councils, senior community planning, and more.

Our newest program is "Sophie's Place" Child Advocacy Centre. THE CENTRE FOR CHILD DEVELOPMENT is a 'one stop shop' for children with special needs and their families through specialized paediatric psychologists, family service & parent support workers, key workers, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physiotherapists, early childhood educators, supported child development consultants & teachers, recreation specialists, technicians, a dietician and a Doctor specializing in developmental paediatrics. SOPHIE'S PLACE is a child and youth advocacy centre focused on providing specialized services to physically and/or sexually abused children up to age 15 in a child-friendly setting. Sophie's Place is the result of significant collaboration between the Surrey RCMP, Ministry of Children and Family Development, City of Surrey, Ministry of Justice Victim Services and Crime Prevention, and The Centre for Child Development. Sophie's Place enables the collaborating agencies to respond to child abuse in a compassionate and highly integrated manner.
