Bob McDowell, Ed.D. has extensive work experience in the education field. Bob most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Leadership and Organizational Health at CESO since June 2023. Prior to that, they were the Superintendent of Hastings Public Schools - ISD 200 from July 2020 to June 2023. Bob also worked as an Adjunct Professor and Doctoral Advisor at Bethel University from December 2013 to June 2023. Bob served as the Assistant Superintendent at Stillwater Area Public Schools from July 2015 to July 2020 and as the Middle School Principal at White Bear Lake Area Schools, ISD #624 from August 2010 to July 2015. Bob gained experience as an Assistant Principal and Technology Coordinator at ISD 196 from June 2000 to July 2010. Additionally, they worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota from May 1999 to July 2006. Bob also served as a Captain in the MN Air National Guard at the 133rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron from December 1992 to January 2002. Before transitioning into leadership roles, they worked as a Technology Education Teacher at a Middle School/High School from June 1995 to May 2000.
Bob McDowell, Ed.D. obtained their Doctor of Education degree in Leadership from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Specialist degree in Educational Administration from Minnesota State University, Mankato, from 2000 to 2002. In 1998, they received their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of St. Thomas. Bob McDowell's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Technology Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, which they earned during the period of 1990 to 1995.
