Eric Ottman CPA, CFE, CMA

Eric Ottman, CPA, CFE, CMA, has a diverse work experience in financial consulting, interim controller roles, and audit director positions. Eric started their career as a Consultant at Albeck Financial Services in December 2014. In 2015, they worked as an Audit Director at Vaco Houston, where they assisted in performing a risk assessment and drafted audit plans. Later that year, they joined RGP as a Financial Consultant, where they performed walkthrough testing and audited SOX controls.

In 2016, Ottman worked as an Interim Controller at Patheon Biologics, managing cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Eric also led the monthly close process and supervised a staff of four. Next, they joined Accordion Partners/Emergent Partners as a Senior Financial Consultant, documenting accounting processes and performing controls documentation projects.

From 2017 to 2020, Ottman worked as a Financial Consultant at Vaco Houston, providing assistance with transitional issues, developing job processes, and managing transitional process issues. Eric also served as a Senior Financial Consultant at Accordion Partners/Emergent Partners, overseeing controllership consulting projects and interim controller services.

In 2020, Ottman rejoined The CFO Suite as a Senior Financial Consultant and later worked at Re-Vision Management Consulting as a Senior Financial Consultant until May 2021. Currently, Ottman is working as a Senior Financial Consultant at The CFO Suite, providing financial consulting services.

After completing high school, Eric went on to attend Kilgore College from 1974 to 1976, where they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Accounting and Business/Management.

Seeking further education, Eric enrolled at The University of Texas at Austin from 1976 to 1978. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a major in Accounting and Finance.

Continuing their quest for knowledge and professional development, Eric pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Sam Houston State University from 1982 to 1984, specializing in Accounting.

In addition to their educational achievements, Eric has also obtained several certifications in the field. Eric is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), which they obtained through the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. Eric is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) through the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) through the Institute of Management Accounting.
