Tina Medlin

Senior Consultant at The CFO Suite

Tina Medlin has extensive experience in the field of development and fundraising. Tina is currently working as a Senior Consultant at The CFO Suite, LLC since February 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Development Officer at Houston PetSet - 501c3 Nonprofit from February 2020 to January 2022. During their time there, they successfully established and led the organization's first comprehensive development program, securing six-figure gifts and implementing annual giving strategies, contributing to over $2M per year in operational support.

Before their role at Houston PetSet, Tina worked as an Executive Director at the American Liver Foundation from February 2018 to April 2019. In this position, they were responsible for leading operational, financial, programmatic, and fundraising strategies for the organization in Texas. Tina organized successful Liver Walk events and American Liver Foundation Flavors Chef events, managing fundraising and educational staff in Houston and Dallas.

From 2014 to 2017, they worked at the University of St. Thomas (TX) as an Assistant Vice President Development. In this role, they represented the Office of Institutional Advancement and managed multiple field officers, securing blended gifts supporting the university's comprehensive and capital campaign.

Prior to that, Tina served as the President of the HISD Foundation at Houston ISD from December 2009 to December 2012. Their responsibilities included elevating the foundation's profile and securing funding to support district initiatives. Tina also trained and supervised the foundation's operations and professional staff.

In addition, Tina has held positions at Project GRAD Houston as Sr. Director, Development & Public Relations and at Memorial Hermann Health System as the Executive Director, Major Gifts. Tina also served as the Chief Executive Officer at Operation Rainbow. Their career began at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) as the Director of Development.

Throughout their career, Tina has demonstrated expertise in securing significant gifts and leading successful fundraising initiatives. Their experience spans various industries, including non-profit organizations and educational institutions.

Tina Medlin has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from The University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, they have completed the National Planned Giving Institute program at William & Mary.
