Wang Jie is a prominent composer currently engaged with multiple organizations, including The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Chamber Music Northwest, and Music@Menlo, where "Blame the Obituary" was co-commissioned. Other notable works include "The Night When You See Again" premiered by Apollo Chamber Players and "The Name that Never Dies" commissioned by Musica Sacra. Wang Jie is also an adjunct assistant professor at Brooklyn College, providing instruction to composition majors. With a diverse portfolio extending back to 2005, Wang Jie has composed for various ensembles and mediums, including opera, symphony, and film music, while holding a Doctor of Philosophy in Music Theory and Composition from New York University and an Artist Diploma from Curtis Institute of Music.
