Igor Runets serves as the Chairman of the Mining and Blockchain Technologies Commission at The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation since March 2022. Igor is the CEO of BitRiver AG, the largest operator of green renewable mining, since October 2017. Additionally, Igor holds the title of Vice President of Mining at the Russian Association Of Cryptocurrency & Blockchain (RACIB) and Chief Executive Officer at Faraday Energy Company. Igor is also a General Partner at BitRiver, focusing on establishing large-scale, low-cost mining operations in Siberia, and has founded Servers.Global, providing computing resources globally. Igor has experience in cryptocurrency mining and investing and served as a Founder-in-Residence at StartX. Former roles include strategy and corporate development at Renren Inc. and project management at RTSoft, where Igor oversaw product life cycles and led engineering teams. Igor holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and an engineering degree from Ural State Technical University.
