Steven Sugarman

Steven Sugarman is an accomplished entrepreneur and legal professional with extensive experience in founding and leading companies in the financial sector. As the Founder of The Change Company since June 2017, Sugarman has also held important roles at various other organizations, including serving as a Portfolio Company representative at xChange - The Impact Loan Marketplace, Change Home Mortgage, and Change Wholesale. Sugarman has provided legal counsel as Of Counsel at Michelman & Robinson, LLP while previously founding COR Securities Holdings, Inc. and COR Clearing. With foundational experience as the Director, CEO, and Chairman of Banc of California from 2010 to 2017, Sugarman co-founded GPS Partners LLC from 2005 to 2009. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School and a Bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College.
