Donna Strouse

Donna Strouse has extensive work experience in health and safety, spanning over several industries. Donna started their career at Fortis Homes as a Sales Coordinator A/P Supervisor in 1979. Donna then moved on to work as a Health and Safety Supervisor at J.P. Taylor from 1990 to 1998. Following that, they joined Vance County Fire EMS as a Firefighter/Paramedic from 1998 to 2001. Donna then transitioned to Clayton Homes, where they worked as a Health and Safety Coordinator from 2001 to 2005. Donna later joined Weeks Marine as a Site Safety Manager in the maritime construction industry. Donna'sresponsibilities included ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting safety meetings and trainings, providing safety guidance, managing employees, conducting inspections and investigations, and more. Donna currently holds the position of Executive Health and Safety Director at Belmond Charleston Place, a role they have held since 2013.

Donna Strouse, COSS, obtained a high school diploma from West Wilkes High School North in 1978. Donna later pursued a Paramedic degree from Vance Granville during 1996 and 1998. In 2013, Donna also obtained additional certifications in Health and Safety Risk Management in Hotels and Tourist Accommodation from IOSH and became a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist through the Alliance Safety Council.
