Karin Goodburn MBE Hon FIFST serves as the Director General of the Chilled Food Association since April 1989, representing the UK's chilled prepared food manufacturing sector and advocating for best practices. As the owner of Chilled Food Associates since January 1995, Karin provides specialized expertise in various areas including regulatory affairs, sustainability, and safety within the chilled food industry. Karin holds multiple leadership roles, including Chair of the Food & Biocides Industry Group and the SPS Certification Working Group, focusing on minimizing trade friction post-Brexit. Additionally, Karin is a member of expert groups within FAO/WHO and participates in several boards and committees related to food science and training. Educational credentials include an MSc in Food Science from the University of Leeds and a BSc Hons in Biochemistry and Applied Molecular Biology from the University of Manchester.
