Richard Allen has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Starting in 1983, they worked as a Systems Developer/Analyst at Sema Group before transitioning to a Freelance Consultant role as a Database Designer/Analyst in 1988. Richard then joined Friends of the Earth as an IT Project Manager from 1995 to 2001. Following that, they worked at The National Gallery as a Systems Development Manager from 2001 to 2012. In 2012, they joined the British Red Cross as an Applications Manager, leading a team responsible for CRM systems, HR, and web applications/platforms. Richard then moved on to become the Business Systems Manager at The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health from 2017 to 2022.
