Rod Anthony Heyward is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental health and safety. Currently serving as Head of Audit at Shield Safety since December 2018, Rod has held various significant roles, including National FRA Manager and Divisional EHP Manager, where leadership, training, and collaboration with stakeholders were key responsibilities. With a strong background as an Environmental Health Officer at City of Lincoln Council from 2005 to 2018, Rod focused on food hygiene inspections and safety oversight for large events. Additionally, Rod contributes to the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health as a Health and Safety Advisory Panel Member and Assessor. Academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health and a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health from NEBOSH, complemented by further qualifications in Advanced Microbiology.
