Geoffrey Stewart Morrison

Geoffrey Stewart Morrison is an accomplished academic and forensic consultant currently serving as an Associate Professor and Director of the Forensic Data Science Laboratory at Aston University since 2017. In addition to this role, Morrison is the Director and Forensic Consultant at Forensic Evaluation and has held fellow status with The Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences since 2019. Morrison chairs the Forensic Science Committee at BSI and is a member of the Forensic Science Committee with ISO, demonstrating extensive involvement in standard-setting organizations. Past affiliations include being an Affiliate Member of the Organization of Scientific Area Committees for Forensic Science from 2015 to 2020 and serving as an Independent Forensic Consultant from 2013 to 2017. Morrison has also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Alberta and as a Simons Foundation Visiting Fellow at the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences. Educationally, Morrison earned a Ph.D. from the University of Alberta between 2003 and 2006.
