Max Njie, CPA, MBA, CGMA

Executive Director of Accounting & Finance at The Chemico Group

Max Njie has over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting. Max started their career at Toyota Tsusho America as a Senior Accountant, where they worked for seven years. Max then moved to Lafarge North America, where they served as a Senior Financial Accountant/Analyst. In this role, they managed fly ash contracts, prepared variance analysis, and handled monthly financial statement analysis for the A&C division's VP controller. Max also served as the Asphalt & Pave interim team lead, supervising a team of three accountants.

After working for Lafarge North America, Max joined United Machining Inc (Wescast) as a Senior Financial Analyst. In this role, they gained experience in financial analysis and reporting. Since 2015, Max has been working at The Chemico Group. Max initially served as the Corporate Controller and later became the Executive Director of Accounting & Finance. In their current position, they are responsible for devising and executing the company's financial strategy, overseeing all accounting and finance activities, and ensuring financial and regulatory compliance.

Max Njie, CPA, MBA, CGMA, received their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from Davenport University, where they attended from 1994 to 1998. Max later pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Eastern Kentucky University, where they studied from 2003 to 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Max Njie earned the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification in August 2004. This certification was obtained through the Michigan State Board of Accountancy and the Kentucky State Board of Accountancy.
