Simon Barn is a Research and Development Engineer at The Chemours Company since June 2023. Previously, Simon served as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Maryland from April 2021 to September 2022, conducting experiments in direct air capture and studying biomass to fuel conversion systems while gaining expertise in various analytical techniques. Simon also held roles as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant, facilitating discussion sessions on thermodynamics and supporting students academically, and as a Resident Assistant, demonstrating leadership and organizational skills by overseeing a group of sophomores and planning events. Simon earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Maryland in 2023 after completing studies at River Hill High School.
