Donald Gottesman currently serves as the Director of Gift Planning at The Chicago Community Trust, a role held since June 2019, managing a public charity with over $4.5 billion in assets. Previous positions include Director of Planned Giving at Silicon Valley Community Foundation and Senior Development Officer at California Community Foundation. With extensive experience in gift planning and fundraising, Donald has held significant roles in various organizations, including serving as a board member for the Northern California Planned Giving Council and as Sr. Consultant for Kaspick & Company. An educator, Donald also taught tax law at The John Marshall Law School. Donald holds an LLM and JD from Chicago-Kent College of Law and a BA in Humanities from Northwestern University.
