Laura Kernaghan, CFA, serves as the Senior Director of Investments at The Chicago Community Trust since October 2018, overseeing a $4 billion+ portfolio and managing over 100 external investment relationships. Prior to this role, Laura was the Managing Director of Investments at QBI Financial, LLC from April 2017 to April 2018, where responsibilities included fundamental equity research for global portfolios and co-managing asset allocation solutions. Laura also held the position of Investments Manager at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago from April 2013 to April 2017, managing a $1 billion endowment portfolio and pension plans. Earlier in the career, Laura worked as an Equity Analyst at Essex Investment Management and The Burridge Group LLC, focusing on investment recommendations. Educational background includes an MBA in Accounting and Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Economics from Loyola University Chicago.
