The Chicago Community Trust
Matt Shomo is an experienced professional currently serving as Program Manager and Impact Coordinator at The Chicago Community Trust, where efforts focus on reducing the Racial Wealth Gap through innovative grant funding strategies. Prior roles include Operations Manager at the Behavioral Insights and Parenting Lab at the University of Chicago and Director at CCS Fundraising. Matt has also contributed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Harris Writing Program, a Presidential Fellow at Cook County Offices Under the President, and a Tax Practice Group Intern at DLA Piper. Academic credentials include a Master of Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago and a Bachelor's Degree from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University.
