Kevin Bargnes

Kevin Bargnes is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in public relations and journalism. Currently serving as the Director of Communications for the Chicago Department of Aviation since February 2022, Kevin previously held the role of Information Coordinator at the Chicago Department of Planning and Development from March 2016 to February 2022, where significant contributions were made to urban development initiatives in Chicago. Prior to this, experience included positions as News Editor at Chicago Tribune Media Group, Product Manager and Content Editor at Chicago Sun-Times, and a series of roles at The Buffalo News and U.S. Department of State. Kevin's early career featured leadership as Editor-in-Chief at The Badger Herald, where the publication received national recognition during tenure. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
