Selma N. Ward is the current Chief Executive Officer at The Children's Center of Hamden. Prior to this, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Connecticut Community Colleges from September 2015 to March 2022, teaching the study of accounting and its related financial practices. Selma also has experience as a Chief Financial Officer and Compliance Officer at Perception Programs, a private non-profit behavioral health agency in Northeastern Connecticut, from August 2015 to June 2020. In this role, they were responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the organization, participating in the development of the corporation's plans and programs, and evaluating and advising on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.
