Julie Lasseigne

Julie Lasseigne has extensive experience in the field of pharmacy. Julie began their career at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2002 as a Patient Care Area Pharmacist. During their time there, they collaborated with psychiatrists to provide care for medically complex psychiatric patients, educated patients about medication use, and provided education to nursing staff and medical students. In 2006, they moved to Brookwood Medical Center where they worked as a Clinical Specialty Pharmacist. In this role, they performed IV to PO conversions, collaborated with physicians on dosing for TPN, anticoagulants, and antibiotics, and supported the hospital's Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. In 2007, they joined Children's of Alabama as a Clinical Coordinator, where they managed a team of clinical pharmacists, chaired hospital interdisciplinary committees, and created clinical pharmacist positions. Julie later transitioned to the role of Director of Pharmacy, where they coordinated with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to improve patient care, managed a team of over 100 pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, and implemented process improvements to reduce medication waste.

Julie Lasseigne attended the University of Mississippi from 1996 to 2002, where they obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree with a focus on pharmacy.
