Amber Washington

Amber Washington is a Clinical Nurse Expert in Surgical/Trauma at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where employment has been since November 2014. Washington has extensive experience as a pediatric surgical/trauma registered nurse, following a role as a nurse resident. In parallel, Washington serves as the Assistant Artistic Director and Instructor at Premiere Dance Academy since September 2018 and has previously contributed to the Progressive Center for Dance from 2002 to 2019 as a dance instructor. Washington also held an administrative position with the Vice Provost for University Life from 2009 to 2013, managing workflow and scheduling. Earlier experiences include teaching dance at the Philadelphia Department of Recreation and working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Chestnut Hill Hospital. Washington earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in 2013, building on an educational foundation from Mount Saint Joseph Academy, where a high school diploma was obtained in 2009.
