Asif Chinwalla

Asif Chinwalla serves as the Head of Scientific Research Computing at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia since 2015. Previously, Chinwalla held significant roles at Monsanto Company from 2010 to 2015, particularly in High Performance Computing and as Emerging Strategy Lead, focusing on HPC analytic strategies and managing substantial research collaborations. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Bio-Informatics and Assistant Director at The Genome Center, Washington University School of Medicine, where Chinwalla reorganized teams for broader genome applications and drove initiatives in medical genomics. Chinwalla's educational background includes an Executive M.B.A and advanced engineering degrees from Washington University in St. Louis.
